Zuklima emerged from the idea of addressing climate change by connecting elements of Brazilian culture with information from diverse media sources, combined with the active participation of the audience. The event brings together music, poetry, and ancestral knowledge to amplify the voices of Brazilians in their fight against the climate crisis. We invite participants to engage with us in a sensitive, interactive, and reflective way.
In this second edition, we will place a special focus on COP30, the United Nations Climate Conference taking place in Belém (Brazil) from 10th to 21st November. Topics such as deforestation, the amplification of Indigenous and local community voices, bioeconomy, climate justice, and more will be explored.
The event is organized and presented by Ayobami Badiru, Maysa Schiefer da Costa Lima, and Maiara Gonçalves—three Brazilian empowered women from different regions of the country, united by shared purpose and commitment.
